Refurbishment and / or Hard Flooring Approval Request

Refurbishment and / or Hard Flooring Approval Request Form

I / we are the owner of Unit (they have to fill in unit number) and we wish to apply for Body Corporate approval to carry out refurbishments to our unit as outlined below.

I / we agree to the following Body Corporate conditions for refurbishments:

  • To abide by all body corporate by-laws and to ensure that the contractors, delivery people and guests abide by the body corporate by-laws;
  • To ensure that appropriate steps are taken to avoid unnecessary false fire alarm callouts and that if any callouts are found to be a result of the works being carried out in relation to my lot then I will be fully responsible for payment of such costs;
  • To ensure that the common areas and/or common facilities are not damaged as a result of the works being carried out in relation to my lot, including the actions of any contracts, delivery people or guests and that if any damage is found I will be responsible for all costs associate with making good;
  • To ensure that the common areas and/or common facilities are not left untidy as a result of the works being carried out in relation to my lot and that if any cleaning is required due as a result of the works being carried out then I will be responsible for all costs associated with making good;
  • To abide by the time frames set for performance of the refurbishment works;
  • To ensure that only qualified, licenced and insured contractors are used to carry out the works for my lot; 
  • To be responsible for obtaining any required building or other approvals for the planned works;
  • To abide by any further conditions of approval determined by the body corporate.

DECLARATION

I / we confirm that we are the owner of the lot and that we accept the conditions of approval detailed in this application form, subject to further potential amendments based on the specific needs of the Body Corporate and in accordance with the Body Corporate’s approval.

Note: If you are a tenant, landlord or any person other than the owner of the Lot, you will need to request that the owner of the lot seek approval on your behalf. Applications from other parties will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by a signed, written confirmation from the owner confirming that they grant approval of the application.
